With us, Christmas is one of the highlights of the year. The entire hotel shines a little extra and is adorned with Santas and Christmas lights. The copper kettles from which we serve our coffee are polished, and the scent of mulled wine, gingerbread, saffron, Christmas ham – in fact, everything related to Christmas – spreads through the lobby and lounges. Experience a genuine Christmas with us, focusing on family and friends. Everyone feels at home here, whether it’s the large family represented by 3-4 generations, couples, or just those who don’t want to spend Christmas at home but still want to enjoy good homemade Christmas food, be surrounded by people, and celebrate a real Christmas in Tällberg.
Warmly welcome to check in with us on December 23 – forget all the obligations and let us take care of all the practicalities. A warming mulled wine in front of the fireplace in the lobby awaits after you’ve settled into your room. Take a little walk around the hotel and learn how to find our pool and sauna, ping pong table, billiards table, and dartboard. For those who can’t sit still, we have a gym (open 24/7) and plenty of beautiful walking paths in the village. Explore on your own or ask for suggestions at the reception. Order our popular sausage basket and head up to Digerberget with a breathtaking view of Lake Siljan. Light your own fire and grill – probably the tastiest sausage you’ve ever eaten…
Every evening, except for Christmas Eve, a well-composed 3-course dinner is served with carefully selected ingredients from our local producers and suppliers. Christmas Eve offers lunch with rice pudding and ham sandwiches – in anticipation of the grand Christmas buffet starting at 5:00 PM. A Christmas buffet with various hot dishes is available on the lunch table on other days. On Christmas Eve, Santa arrives on his sleigh. All the children line up and peek out the window from our Gillestuga – soon the lantern appears out there on the lawn somewhere. There is both anticipation, delight, and a little excitement in the children’s bodies. Just as it should be at Christmas. Drop off your gift (one per child) at the reception before 11:00 AM on Christmas Eve if you want your child to receive a gift from the sack. After dinner, it’s time for the big gift game. Remember to bring a gift (worth about 50 SEK) and drop it off at the reception no later than 5:00 PM on Christmas Eve if you want to participate.
There is a ski trail in the village (7 km, starting from Tällberg School) and plenty of very nice ski resorts at a convenient distance by car. Horse and sleigh are a must for many of our returning guests. It’s magical to glide through the forest among reindeer skins and torches. The only sound is the hooves on the trail and the horse’s contented snorting. We facilitate a connection.
Warmly welcome to a familiar Christmas weekend in Tällberg with lots of tradition and a wonderful view of Lake Siljan.
From all of us, we warmly welcome you!
