Zorn Museum & Zorn House

The Zorn Museum and Zorn House in Mora offer a fascinating insight into the life and work of one of Sweden’s most internationally renowned artists – Anders Zorn.

From an early age, Zorn was drawn to the world beyond Sweden’s borders. His entire career was marked by travel and international encounters. He moved comfortably in cities such as London, Paris and New York, while also journeying to more distant destinations including Cairo, Tunis, Cádiz and Venice. These experiences had a strong influence on his artistic expression.

At the Zorn Museum, visitors can explore a wide selection of Zorn’s paintings, etchings and sculptures, alongside works by other artists and temporary exhibitions. The museum provides an excellent overview of Zorn’s artistic development and his importance on both a national and international level.

The Zorn House, the former home of Anders and Emma Zorn, has been preserved exactly as it was during their lifetime and is considered one of Sweden’s best-preserved artist homes. Visiting the Zorn House is possible only through guided tours, which must be booked in advance.

Guided tours can be booked directly with the Zorn Museum by phone +46 250 59 23 10 or via their website: https://zorn.se/
