
Solvändan in Leksand is a scenic and easy lakeside walk of approximately 4 kilometres one way, starting at the harbour by Leksand Bridge. The path follows the shoreline of Lake Siljan and offers peaceful views of the water, surrounding nature and cultural landmarks.
The route runs from Leksand Bridge, around Kyrkudden, and continues towards Leksand Sommarland. Along the way, you will pass several notable sights, including Leksand Church, Hildasholm, Barkdal and the forested area of Lugnet. The walk alternates between open lakeside sections, woodland paths and historic surroundings.
For the return, you can either follow the same route back or choose one of the trails through the Lugnet–Barkdal Nature Reserve, offering a varied walking experience.
The entire Solvändan path is gravelled and fully accessible, making it suitable for people with disabilities, wheelchairs, prams and walkers of all ages.
