Naturum Dalarna is one of Sweden’s 33 official nature centres and is beautifully located in the Siljansnäs Nature Reserve, on top of Mount Björkberget. From here, visitors are rewarded with breathtaking views over Lake Siljan and the surrounding countryside.
Naturum is an excellent starting point for discovering the natural heritage of Dalarna. Through exhibitions and information, you can learn about local wildlife, plant life and geology, as well as gain insight into why protecting nature is so important. The centre is suitable for visitors of all ages.
Surrounding Naturum is an easily accessible forest, ideal for short walks and outdoor excursions. During the season, there are opportunities for berry picking, and the area offers rich birdlife in a peaceful setting.
The Siljansnäs Nature Reserve can be explored via two well-marked nature trails – Skogsstigen and Humlebumlestigen – which guide you through varied landscapes and offer several scenic viewpoints. These trails are perfect for both leisurely strolls and longer nature walks.
