Carl Larsson-gården – an artist’s home in Sundborn

Carl Larsson-gården in Sundborn, just outside Falun, is one of Sweden’s most beloved and visited artists’ homes. This is where artist Carl Larsson lived and worked with his wife Karin Larsson and their family. The house has been carefully preserved as it was during their lifetime, offering a unique glimpse into their everyday life, art and creativity.

Many of Carl Larsson’s most famous works were created here – paintings that helped shape the image of Swedish home life around the turn of the 20th century. Visits are by guided tour only, providing deeper insight into the family, their art and life on the farm. During the season, there is also a café, shop and temporary exhibitions on site.
